OPEN-CALL de escrita lançada pela Mákina de Cena em 2021 resulta na edição do livro />> SLASH FORWARD Cartas para o [Eu] de amanhã

O tão esperado lançamento acontece já no próximo Sábado, dia 10 de Dezembro, às 15h00 na Casa do Meio-Dia / Sul, Sol e Sal, em Loulé, e conta com a presença dos membros do júri, Dra. Adriana Freire Nogueira (Dir. Regional de Cultura do Algarve), Lídia Jorge e Patrícia Amaral (Mákina de Cena). Em 2020, abateu-se sobre o Planeta a pandemia provocada pelo Novo Coronavírus – SarsCov2. Durante o primeiro confinamento, o Tempo, aquele de cuja falta nos queixamos sempre, entrou-nos pelas casas dentro e ali ficou, imponente e estático. Assim, a Mákina de Cena lançou, ainda em 2020, uma Open-Call de Fotografia, [ISO]lados, que, nos tempos de descanso que a pandemia proporcionava, chegou a ser exposição nas Galerias Municipais de Loulé e no IPDJ de Faro. Em 2021, aquando do regresso ao confinamento, lançámos mais uma Call, desta feita literária: />> SLASH FORWARD, que desafiou os participantes a dialogar com o seu ‘eu futuro’. Esta edição é o resultado desse repto, que teve, no total, 36 participações vindas de todo o país, tendo 23 desses textos sido selecionados para impressão. OPEN-CALL of writing launched by Mákina de Cena in 2021 results in the edition of the book />> SLASH FORWARD Letters to Tomorrow’s [Me]

The long-awaited launch will take place next Saturday, December 10th, at 3 pm at Casa do Meio-Dia / Sul, Sol e Sal, in Loulé, and will be attended by the members of the jury, Dr. Adriana Freire Nogueira (Regional Director of Culture of the Algarve), Lídia Jorge and Patrícia Amaral (Mákina de Cena). In 2020, the Planet was hit by the pandemic caused by the New Coronavirus – SarsCov2. During the first confinement, Time, the one we always complain about, entered our houses inside and stayed there, imposing and static. Thus, Mákina de Cena launched, still in 2020, an Open-Call of Photography, [ISO]lados, which, in the rest times that the pandemic provided, became an exhibition in the Municipal Galleries of Loulé and at the IPDJ in Faro. In 2021, upon returning to confinement, we launched another Call, this time literary: />> SLASH FORWARD, which challenged participants to dialogue with their ‘future self’. This edition is the result of that challenge, which had a total of 36 participations from all over the country, with 23 of these texts being selected for printing. “Algarve + Sustainable”, dissemination, reflection and debate on the present and future of Nature Tourism in the Algarve

For 5 days, between the 18th and 22nd of October, the village of Aljezur hosted the second phase of the largest nature tourism event in the Algarve, attracting the interest and presence of more than two hundred visitors, including children, adults interested in the themes , professionals and entrepreneurs of nature tourism and public entities. Six companies exhibited their sustainable solutions for nature tourism businesses, from surfing to the rehabilitation of rivers and streams or the presentation of services to promote low-density territories. In the Workshops promoted by public and private entities and aimed at professionals in the sector, the “Sustainability Workshop: Algarve 2030 Program funding opportunities” was the one that attracted the most participants. The 21st was entirely dedicated to the debate and had around 60 participants. The opening was in charge of the representatives of the organizing entities: José Gonçalves, Mayor of Aljezur, Aura Fraga, President of the Associação Vicentina, João Fernandes, President of the Algarve Tourism Region and, also, by Joaquim Brandão Pires, representing AMAL, and José Apolinário, President of CCDR Algarve. Machining SEPTEMBER – DECEMBER 2022

With the increasingly pressing need to rethink borders, comes the responsibility of continuing to give space to different voices and geographies. Mákina de Cena, assuming its share of this responsibility as a structure of artistic creation, believes above all in dialogue with the community and is guided by the reaction to this global current, thus preparing a journey so that they accompany us in the human transformations that will come. Travel, Borders and Change are the keywords for this exciting four-month period. … The Mákina Workshops and A Mákina Vai à Escola resume, with renewed energy, reinforcing and increasing the pedagogical footprint of the programme. … The Theater Reading Club continues, resuming the 27/09 with its ‘godfather’, one of the founders of the Coimbra Reading Club and the very first guest of our Club, Ricardo Correia. PRESS RELEASE – Concerts at Sunset 2022 – Concerts at sunset is the invitation for the coming weekends

Shows take place on Ilha da Culatra, Faro and Fortaleza de Sagres. The Cycle of Concerts at Sunset, organized by ArQuente, is back, for three consecutive weekends, with another good dose of alternative/indie pop music. The concerts take place on Fridays, at 6:30 pm, in Largo da Igreja, on Ilha da Culatra, on Saturdays, at 7:00 pm, at Galeria Arco, in Faro, and on Sundays, at 6:00 pm, in the Fortress of Sagres, the latter through the support of the DiVaM program, of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve. The first guest, for the 2022 edition, is Bia Maria, who will perform on September 9, 10 and 11. Beatriz Pereira, born and raised in Ourém, is the patron saint of the act of “writing”. On a precipice between Beatriz and Maria, her pen unfolds a diary of colors, textures and unpleasantness.
