Synopsis:
Salgueiro Maia – O Implicado, constitutes the first portrait, projected on the big screen, of what is considered the hero and purest symbol of the 25th of April 1974. Fernando Salgueiro Maia, the non-occasional anti-hero, product of a training academic and military, he was a man who knew how to think about the future, follow ideas, contesting them, living a full, happy and fertile life, solidary and suffering – if he had not died prematurely at the age of 47, he would now be 75. With a modern, intimate and emotional approach, Salgueiro Maia – O Implicado portrays the stories that have not yet been told about Captain de Abril. The small revelations that allow us to better understand where the moderation, courage, politeness and firmness with which he always presented himself to the public came from, and which were the key to making the Carnation Revolution the way it was.More than a docudrama, Salgueiro Maia – O Implicado is a fictional story based on historical facts, personal accounts, intimate revelations, real emotions of those who accompanied the captain throughout his life. A film that reveals the other side of a mythical character and that pays homage to the man, the student, the soldier, the father, the friend and the unique military man of Abril. main characters and screenplay by João Lacerda Matos, the film is based on the exclusive biography and research of António de Sousa Duarte.CINEMUNDO
