CONTEMPLATION – EXHIBITION OF ENGRAVINGS BY ISABEL MACIEIRA
Isabel Macieira. Lisbon 1957. Arts teacher, visual artist and Master in History of Portuguese Art.
In this exhibition Isabel Macieira continues to show us works that are the result of her exploration of alternative ways of making prints and the enormous taste she has for the experimental process and the surprise of the results, which is always
associated with his passion for primitive visual arts and stone, the common thread of this series of large-format prints.

ACORAZED collage series
ROCÍO ROMERO is a collage artist, born in Madrid and now based in Seville. A lover of paper and collage as an expression tool, Rocío’s work mixes collection, selection and
juxtaposition in a natural way.
In this exhibition Rocío mixes black and white images with leaves from the Ginkgo Biloba tree, an ancient tree with a very strong symbolism of renewal, hope and life. The varied shapes of her leaves, so elegant and stylized, are perfect for imagining connections with the images she uses.
In this series of images of women “figurines” the haute couture models
from the 1950s begin to develop a shell of sharp points representing their inherent strength and are “played” by imaginary Ginkgo leaf masks and weapons. These elements give them new strength and dynamism; are super heroines.
