The Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, in Lagoa, will host the show “𝗖𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼 𝗘𝗹 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗼” on October 28th, at 9:30 pm.
Synopsis: Juan José Arroyo “El Junco” began playing flamenco in the flamenco peñas of Cádiz and trained with Juan Belmonte in Jerez de la Frontera, and Manolo Marín in Seville, with whom he toured different scenes around the world. He was part of the corps de ballet of Compañia Flamenca de Cristina Hoyos and Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía.
He was the winner of the Dance Prize for Alegrías Cidade de Cádiz. In 2003, he was nominated for the important Max de las Artes Escénicas awards, as best male dance performer, alongside Antonio Canales and Rafael Amargo, an award he would obtain a few years later, in 2008.
The dancer “El Junco” (Cádiz) presents a show with a variation of palos and styles of flamenco art, with enormous freshness, but without losing the essence of this artistic genre. Flamenco as an argument. The tablao as inspiration.
