Within the scope of the Eunice Ageas Network – project for the dissemination of shows produced and co-produced by the D. Maria II National Theater – Jorge Silva Melo brings to TEMPO his staging of the classic dramaturgy “Death of a traveling salesman”.
Based on Arthur Miller’s work, “Death of a Traveling Salesman” is a modern tragedy of the common citizen who finds the ultimate violence in the impotence of failure.
After 34 years working as a traveling salesman, Willy Loman wants to give the world to her children. However, he sees his dreams fade away, losing ground and, consequently, his sense of reality.
The play opened on Broadway in 1949 and, as before, continues to amaze audiences.
With Américo Silva, André Loubet, António Simão, Helder Bráz, Joana Bárcia, Joana Resende, José Neves, Pedro Baptista, Pedro Caeiro, Paula Mora, Sara Inês Gigante, Tiago Matias, Vânia Rodrigues.
A production by Artistas Unidos, in co-production with Teatro Nacional D. Maria II and Teatro Nacional São João.
