DIVING WITH CINEMA AND MUSIC IN FORTALEZA DE SAGRES
The Sagres Fortress will host two more initiatives within the scope of DiVaM – Dynamizing and Enhancing the Monuments of the Algarve next weekend. On Saturday the IN CINEMA – Integration, Indiscrimination and Inclusion project takes place and on Sunday there is music with Rouge, an accordion and saxophone duo.
The IN Cinema Integration, Indiscrimination and Inclusion Project, promoted by the Cineclube in Faro, features the films Surfavela, by Joaquim Pinto and Nuno Leonel (1996), Rebirth, by Laura Basil Duncan (2019) and The Endless Summer, by Bruce Brown (1965 ). The choice of these films is related to the theme of this year’s DiVaM “Human Rights, Equality and Non-Discrimination” and how cinema can be a tool to resolve some stigmas and barriers that societies – which claim to be just open, fraternal, free and solidary – face, through three fundamental ideas: Integration, Indiscrimination and Inclusion
The screening of films in the auditorium of the Fortaleza de Sagres takes place on November 14, at 4 pm, and is attended by guests from associations linked to surfing.
The initiative is from the Algarve Accordion Association.
