Domingos Caetano was born in the parish of Fuzeta, in the municipality of Olhão in 1956. Founder of the band IRIS in 1979, he was considered one of the biggest names in Portuguese rock. He started out as a self-taught enthusiast with a guitar that came to him from his brother from overseas, until he joined the conservatory in Faro where he received musical training in piano and acoustic guitar. In 1995 the band recorded their first album, later Domingos created a music school in Fuseta, “where I dedicate myself to making musicians until today”. Multi-instrumentalist and pioneer of the rock school, he trained countless local musicians, continuing his activity as an enthusiast of young talent. Whenever possible, he is accompanied by his students in concert, creating a special dynamic in the realization of the themes. He returns to Clube de Tavira with his project dedicated to Zeca Afonso, where it is possible to viscerally feel each verse sung, revisiting the meanings through its loud and clear projection.
