Is it possible to explain the refugee crisis to children? Do the real stories of today overflow the limits of the rawness of the traditional imagination? Of the World, what do we choose to count?
“From the Forest to the World” was the opening performance of the 72nd edition of the Festival d’Avignon and tells the story of Farid.
Farid is a 12-year-old Afghan boy with a history that could have been like that of many other boys had it not been for his mother’s sending to Europe to a safe haven. Farid is a refugee.
“From the Forest to the World” confronts us with toughness and courage. It confronts us with the story of a boy, between life and death, and makes us look at our own history.
