The dramaturgy of “Moço da Cola” is based on interviews with carpenters (former glue boys), but focuses on the strength of the family and its conflicts. All the action is located in the home of a family from the 60s, in a proudly alone Portugal, where father, mother, son, daughter live, regularly visited by a neighbor. Topics such as hunger despite work, violence against the weakest, ignorance and anger are addressed. But this piece also talks about dreams, because “Dreams are as necessary for life as bread.”, as Raúl Brandão said.
