SYNOPSIS
“The image of people who free themselves from their (social and psychological) ties, in search of a new meaning for themselves in the world, was what we seemed to be chasing in this new creation of ours, and always, on the path of 25 years of Uterus that are celebrated this year.
We looked for that singular place (in the uterus) that we combine with an author, who walks freely in search of himself. In this case similar to Hamlet.
Isolated on top of themselves, people walk alone, in an illusion of belonging to a whole that, fortunately, they will never fully know.
What makes people walk alone questioning their meaning in the world?
In this sense, there is always a place of proximity to a pilgrim. That with faith pursues its meaning and center in a world it does not know.
In the title we added to the play, we can also reveal the legacies that multiply in many ways. L’Ange du Bizzarre is the title of a book by Edgar Alan Poe and of an exhibition we saw in Paris that greatly influenced our play Swamp.
In the contemporary world, everything gains new meanings with each new day. Coming from shards of what we’re living and from the places we’re going through.
We discovered that the planet, although geographically finite, will always have new places that we will never fully understand and therefore we will always seek new meanings.
“Hamlet” will always be a literary work that will illuminate our darkest days, where without destiny, we will seek to discover what makes us here, tied to the amazement of life.” – Utero
