Bioco is a creative proposal by the Ria Inquieta Associação Cultural e Recreativa that aims to enhance the intangible musical heritage of the Algarve under new arrangements using the particularities and qualities of modern music and jazz. Faced with an EP already completed at the end of 2022 as the group’s first proposal, with priority given to the collection of themes present in the record work with traditional Algarve repertoire developed by Michel Giacometti and Lopes-Graça, it is intended to continue the project, making it more meritorious by giving prominence to a work that intends to reuse and dignify the Algarve’s musical heritage as it is so rich and vast.
