How can a work still have the power to move society today? How can the critical, argumentative and persuasive senses influence a sentence? Using as a theme the trial brought against Maria Isabel Barreno, Maria Teresa Horta and Maria Velho da Costa in 1972, the activity parallel to the show Still Marianas intends to convene a debate around the book “Novas Cartas Portuguesas”. Dividing the working group between the defense and the prosecution of the three authors, the activity seeks to encourage debate between these positions, while sharing the judicial process through documentation from the time.
