AUSIÀS PAREJO CALABUIG. Born in 2006 and starts on guitar at age 4. To date it has 18 first prizes in national and international competitions. He has played in auditoriums in Spain, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Austria, France and Italy. In 2018 he records the CD “con tanta tenerezza”. As a soloist he has performed with the Young Orchestra of the Diputación de Alicante, Vozes Orchestra of Barcelona, Caixa Ontinyent Orchestra and Instrumental String Group of Gandía.
RUBÉN PAREJO. He has given concerts in more than 20 countries in America, Europe and Asia. He has recorded several CDs as a soloist and with different camera groups. He is Academician of the Academy of Valencian Music, guitar professor of the Conservatory of Music of Valencia and artistic director of the International Guitar Competition “Luys Milan”. Rubén and Ausiàs play with Royal Classics strings.
Ó CHIBINHA dedicates itself to folk music, which reunites traditional dances from all over Europe. It owes its unusual style to the versatility of its musicians and to the work of its main composer: Eva Parmenter, with a repertoire influenced by Balkan, Oriental, South American and Jazz music, among others.
The band contributes tho the tradition while innovating and has an aesthetic the leans towards jazz, preserving space for improvisation within its compositions and arrangements.
In this concert, Ó Chibinha welcomes Olmo Martin, from the Basque Country, with his 7 strings guitar, and officially it becomes an Iberian project, with Juan De La Fuente from Madrid on percussion, Diogo Duque from Portugal on Trumpet and Eva Parmenter (Portugal/England) on melodeon and voice.
