BY SILLYSEASON
In Palco Principal, the new creation of the SillySeason collective, the look falls on the universe of Chekhov and The Seagull and ends a season of shows that, starting from a classic of European dramaturgy, tend to rescue and inscribe lost narratives in the greatest fiction of all time – History. History is the greatest fiction we have ever been told and living (life and art) is a luxury that only exists for some of us. Welcome to the stage of tiredness and self-delusion. Life is what lives us and we let ourselves live, which is a way of discarding ourselves from the responsibility and tragedy that living implies for all of us. We give up the stage and our lives and sit in the audience, not because we don’t like the stage, but because it is urgent to build a new, more representative and egalitarian stage. But be careful: This is a show to laugh at.
