In an initiative promoted in close collaboration between the Municipality of Silves and local businesses, the city of Silves will host the Medieval Gastronomic Week, between the 7th and 16th of August.
There are about two dozen adherent restaurants and establishments that will present a special menu, which includes several medieval dishes and that will delight those who visit Silves during the period when the Medieval Fair is usually held, this year canceled , due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tile with sausages, chicken with grain, vegetable stew, black pork fanny, ham and blue cheese bruschetta, medieval pizza, medieval Tuscan porchetta, medieval seafood, roasted pig in the wood oven with orange sauce, venison steak, chorizo roasted on the grill, lamb tajine, spare ribs in the oven with chestnuts, cheese tiborna with ham, confined pork shank, woodpecker and various sweets are some of the proposals for “making your mouth water”, presented by the participating establishments.
The Municipality of Silves invites everyone to visit the city of Silves during this week and taste the various delicacies proposed by the participating establishments.
