This musical experience will transport us on a journey into the operatic world of the great masters of the 18th and 19th centuries, namely W. A. Mozart and G. Rossini geniuses at Opera Buffa, G, Donizetti and the exploration of the virtuosity of Bel Canto and G. Verdi, Delibes and Gounod in the seriousness and elevation of the Grand Opera. The musical moment will be by George Palcu (bass-baritone) and Valter Fralda (pianist).
BIOGRAPHIES:
Throughout his operatic career, George Palcu has participated in festivals and stages such as the Woodhouse Festival (London), Birgitta Festival (Tallin) or Concert Hall in Thessaloniki (Greece). Among the various roles, those of Don Alfonso (Cosí fan tutte, Mozart), Count Almaviva (Marriage of Figaro, Mozart), Don Magnifico (La Cenerentola, Rossini), Seneca (L’incoronazione di Poppea, Monteverdi) and Colline, Alcindoro, and Benoit (La Bohème, Puccini).
Valter Fralda studied with Patrizia Giliberti, Mauro Dilema and Paulo Álvares. He holds a Masters in Piano Teaching at ESART. As a pianist and as a pedagogue he had the opportunity to collaborate with important names in national and international music, such as: Sequeira Costa, Álvaro Teixeira Lopes and Paulo Oliveira.
