Vítor Pisco began to draw and paint as a child by the fireplace. Then, in elementary school, in the breaks I stayed in the classroom to draw, while his colleagues went to play ball. He learns the first oil painting techniques as an adult, first to observe in books and then with the impressionist painter Camol D’Évora. He starts with acrylic painting and mixed media. Vítor Pisco will drink to several influentials but prefers a free style without rules. His favorite painters are Picasso, Salvador Dali, Van Gogh, Marc Chagall and Kandinsky. His favorite styles are: expressionism, neo expressionism, abstractionism and figurative expressionism.
The exhibition consists of a retrospective on my memories, roots, relationship with local culture, work in the field, nature, animals and trips through the Alentejo. The techniques used are acrylic, oil and mixed media. My inspirations come from the memories of Alentejo of yesteryear and some from the present. On the screens you can see harvesters, shepherds, mondadeira, waterers, paths, and birds such as partridges, rabbits, hares, bustards and sisons, among other native animals.
