From September 8th, Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes will exhibit a set of paintings by Patico under the suggestive title “Fernando Pessoa, from Pessoa to People”, open until October 31st.
Patico, Francisco Alberto’s artistic name, is from Monforte, where he was born in 1971, and currently resides in Lagoa, using drawings, mixed painting techniques and collages in his paintings.
With a vast exhibition curriculum and some literary editions, the artist explains that from poetic writing, from figurative to abstract, he reveals “carved, sculpted and plastic feelings, coming from my intro and retrospective album, built in the light of Fernando Pessoa, other people – some better known than others -, things and places of water, salt, sun, sweat… and tears.”
“This look therefore intends to go beyond the passion and fascination that I have for his genius, work and, as well, for the galactic public person(s) that the Poet contains, which transport us to multiple dimensions (concrete, abstract…)”, says Patico.
