Philip Adie guitar and effects

Philip Adie Trio is a Flamenco Jazz group from Seville that plays original music composed by guitarist Philip Adie together with Luis Salto (double bass) and Nacho Megina (drums and percussion). They make an eclectic variation of flamenco, integrating jazz and improvisation in their repertoire.
“The music of this powerful Sevillian trio, which obviously moves between flamenco and jazz, is something else, without a doubt a third thing, more than a musical fusion…” Jose Pruñonosa – másJAZZ magazine.
In 2021 chosen by Paco Ortega as semifinalists in the III Contest Flamenco and Mestizos Cuidad de Úbeda.
In January 2021 the song Stone Free Guajiro was featured in the ‘Track of the Day’ section in the online magazine All About Jazz.
In 2019 they recorded their debut album ‘Stone Free Flamenco’ and presented their work at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival for 24 performances in August 2019. The audience gave great reviews:
“Phenomenal music, and beautiful musical landscapes”
“An absolute delight. Incredible music from the three guys with
wonderful original flamenco-inspired jazz.” – Edinburgh
International Fringe Society
From September 2019 to March 2020 they have been performing in Andalusian Jazz, Flamenco and Culture associations, Soberao Jazz, Peña Flamenca La Plazita and El Laberinto Art Lab.
Although 2020 forced them to cancel 26 shows, canceled due to the COVID pandemic, they have been busy preparing new material for their second CD and will play select venues around Andalucia in 2021.
