The host of these poetry evenings is Rogério Cão, who will always bring a guest with him.
Admission is free and the sessions start at 21:00 and end at 22:30 and will take place every second Thursday of the month.

Rogério Cão was born in V. N. de Famalicão in Minho and settled in the Algarve, in Faro, in 2006, having started by reciting poetry in the city’s bars. His history of association with the spoken and written word and also his relationship with music goes back a long way, since 1996, when he joined the Progressive Rock project “Alma Negra” as lyricist and vocalist and later, in 2004, the pseudourbanosneurodepressive project.
Rogério has voice and theater training and has participated as an actor in several theater shows with emphasis on the short film “Fragmentação” by Nuno Fernandes. He himself has developed projects that combine music, theater and poetry, such as “Teatro ao Sul”, a show in which two actors travel through a Portuguese poetic anthology and present original texts and more recently with the poetic quartet “Diz@sossego” and the poetic creation project “A Gaveta da Pedra”.

The guest of the 1st session is the poet Luís Ene. Born Luís Nogueira, he was 16 years old on April 25, 1974. He currently resides in Faro, where he spent most of his childhood and adolescence. In 2002, he won the 1st edition of the Novos Talentos contest with the novel AJusta Medida, published by Porto Editora. In the same year he created the blog Mil e Uma
Small Stories, simultaneously making their entry into the world of blogs and art
of the micronarrative. He was founder and co-editor of Minguante, an online micronarrative magazine.
He ran a weekly program dedicated to literature on Rádio Universitária do Algarve for two years. He participated in the creation of groups of writers in the Algarve and in various events of literary dynamism such as the Poesia e Companhia festival, held in Faro in 2014. He has read his texts in public, often accompanied by musicians, his most recent project being “ The tongue in the ear”.
