The cultural association Ideias do Levante will produce the fourth edition of Convento Levante, during the month of April 2023, bringing a music recital and a poetry recital, to the Centro Cultural Convento de S. José (CCCSJ), in the city of Lagoa (Algarve). For the 2023 edition, ConVento Levante proposes a cultural unrest, bringing music, musicians, poetry and poets, from the Straits of Gibraltar (Spain, Morocco and the United Kingdom) to Sagres (Algarve, Portugal).
This poetry recital, entitled “Evento: Liberdade”, which will take place on April 29, 2023, at 4 pm, in the CCCSJ Auditorium, is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Lagoa (Algarve), Ideias do Levante – Associação Cultural de Lagoa and the cultural association CAL from Albufeira, where it is intended, in a sincere and honest way, to provide a small interpretive and declamatory journey, through poetic literature with roots in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, between Sagres and Gibraltar. The curatorship is by Cobramor and the interpretation is by Carla Moreira, accompanied by the sound textures by Guilherme Limão, with Martim Santos as a guest artist. The staging is the responsibility of Cobramor and Carla Moreira.
