“Voltada ao Mar”, “Companheiros da Alegria” and “Tao Perto” are the works to be presented by Maria Amália R.C. on the 4th of March, at the Municipal Library of Portimão.
From 4 pm onwards, these three novels are reasons to visit that cultural facility.
With different themes and taking place in different spaces and times, these works have as a common denominator that they are about experiences, love, friendship, beginnings…
“Voltada ao Mar” is translated into Spanish, “Os Companheiros da Alegria” is adapted for theater and “So close” is translated into Braille.
Maria Amália R.C., author, was born in Vila Nova de Milfontes, grew up, studied and spent her entire working life in the Lisbon region. Currently, close to retirement, she has returned to her birthplace and dedicates herself to doing what she loves most, writing.
In the same afternoon and time, the book “Sagres, Lendas Ocultas” will be presented, a real and difficult love story, interrupted by an unnecessary war and years of separation…
Adolfo Silva Cavaco, the author, was born in 1952, near Loulé, but early on he headed for Barrancos and soon went on to the lands of Ribatejo and Estremadura. After an intense professional life, today he devotes himself to reading and writing on very diverse topics.
