On September 23rd, at 6:30 pm, the Lagoa Municipal Library will host the presentation of the book “𝗦𝗼𝗹 𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹” by Fátima Mártires, winner of the 2020/2021 Santos Stockler Literary Prize.
Synopsis: Launch of the book “𝗦𝗼𝗹 𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹” by Fátima Mártires, distinguished in the 4th edition of the 2020/2021 Santos Stockler Literary Prize, a competition that aims to reward new literary works in the form of a novel and under the theme, “Lagoa, Sustainable City ”.
Following the awarding of the Prize on September 10, 2022 at Quinta Arvad Wine – Estômbar, the public presentation of the award-winning work will now take place, an event to be held as part of the Celebration of 250 years of Lagoa becoming a municipality and the 26th anniversary of the current Lagoa Municipal Library building.
“𝗦𝗼𝗹 𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹” is a work that stands out in narrative terms and where the treatment of the theme is developed in an intelligent, slick way and with some humor. It is a coherent and cohesive work, which avoids facilitism and commonplace, and shrewdly criticizes the political and economic exploitation of “green values”, demolishing the myths and untruths that sustain the good conscience of modernity .
