On the 15th of April, at 3:30 pm, the Municipal Library of Silves will organize a special session of Story Time with storyteller Bruno Batista. The initiative, aimed at parents and children (from 5 to 10 years old), has free entry.
It will be an afternoon marked by the good mood and talent of this fantastic storyteller, so well known to the public at the Silves Municipal Library for his creativity and artistic aptitude as a narrator, actor and sociocultural animator.

Bruno Batista has a degree in Cultural Animation and Community Education. Actor, certified trainer and storyteller, he has lived in Lisbon since 2007, where he was born in 1979. Until 2007 he lived in Lagoa, Algarve, participating in more than a dozen theatrical productions at Associação Ideias do Levante, which he helped found.
As a certified trainer, he conducts workshops on oral narration and on book and reading promotion. He was a public school teacher for eight years. With the Estórias de se tira do Chapéu he created the project “Escola de Narração” where he was a trainer. At Fundação do Gil, he was a trainer and volunteer, taking the stories to hospitals between 2006 and 2014.
As an actor, he participated in several professional productions in the Algarve and at Teatro da Trindade, having also collaborated with the company Rituais Dell Arte, in several children’s musicals, as a tenor. He streamlined the radio show “Conto um Minutum” on Rádio Racal.
Since May 2022, he has been collaborating with the Municipal Library of Moita in a continuous work as a consultant and coordinator of Animation and Book and Reading Promotion projects.
