On the 17th of September, the third edition of MONTANHA will take place in Faro, a project of the Associação Recreativa e Cultural de Músicos which aims to promote music in different districts of the city.
MOUNTAIN, like the proverbial mountain that does not meet the prophet, intends to fight the difference in demand, supply and access to culture between various population groups, who thus see the role of art and culture reinforced in their communities in an interventional way .
MONTANHA, through direct exposure to music, aims to combat the isolation of the periphery and establish a link between the interior and exterior of these communities.
This cycle of concerts involves four musical groups supported by local technicians and will take place on one day of the month in three different locations, for a period that extends between July and October.
On the 17th of September, Papa Dragon will be performing at the RiaMar complex at 19:00, in Praceta Capitães de Abril at 19:45 and in the children’s playground next to Rua António Enes at 20:30.
This initiative has the support of the IPDJ, as part of the International Year of Youth, the Catalysis Global Association, the Regional Directorate for Culture, Faro Parish Councils and is sponsored by the Penha Pharmacy and Metalofarense.
