Vasco Dantas, a Portuguese pianist born in 1992, completed a Music Degree with “1st class & distinction” at the Royal College of Music in London, under the guidance of Dmitri Alexeev and Niel Immelman, also studying orchestral direction with Peter Stark and Natalia Luis- Bassa. He finished his Masters in Performance with the highest grade under the guidance of Heribert Koch, at the University of Münster, where he was accepted as a Doctor of “Konzertexamen”.
He started studying piano at the age of 4 at the Valentim de Carvalho school in Porto. In 2000 he was admitted with distinction to the Porto Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Rosgard Lingardsson, finishing the course with a maximum grade. Parallel to the piano, at the age of 7 he started studying the violin, working with José Paulo Jesus. He stood out in the Momentum Perpetuum orchestras, Youth from the Official Conservatories of Music, Orchestra XXI and in the Metropolitan of Lisbon junior, as a concertmaster. He participated in piano and violin improvement courses with numerous renowned teachers. Acted as a pianist and violinist in hundreds of events, in prestigious international rooms.
