Vocalini, let’s sing opera! is a concert that aims to make classical music, and opera in particular, known to younger audiences. We create children’s songs from very famous and important opera arias. We choose beautiful and fun melodies from the operatic repertoire and arrange them so that anyone can sing them, and in Portuguese.
In the Vocalini concert, the singer Elvire de Paiva e Pona and the pianist Joana Rolo present the songs and invite all the children present to participate.
Everyone can sing, dance and even play some of the magical instruments that we are going to unveil. Together we will discover with Mozart the world of colors of the Rainbow, the laughter of the queen of the night will echo in the distance for all to hear! The cunning fox Don Giovanni tricks the little rabbit – will he be able to escape…? The barber from Seville explains how to maintain good hair hygiene and the lively Julieta seeks her freedom: to live, dance and be herself! After all, Classical Music can be a lot of fun and anyone can sing Opera!
Bearing in mind that this is a concert intended for children aged 6 months and over, we do not intend for the audience to be silent and static. On the contrary, we know that children will babble, talk, cry and wander. The spontaneity of the audience is an essential part of our show.
