Lagos will host, on January 17th, the first workshop of 2024 integrated into the Short-Term Action Cycle (AcD) “ALLIANCE FOR WATER – COOPERATION AND CONNECTIVITY”. The initiative, which takes place within the scope of the Algarve Regional Water Efficiency Plan (PREHA) and the “Water Efficiency at School” project, is open to the entire community.
In focus, in this in-person session, will be the theme “Sustainability and Territorial Strategies”, with communications that will cover the issues of water and landscape ecosystems, the challenges of sustainability in agriculture and a portrait of the water we have. The program also includes a moment to share good water efficiency practices in the municipalities of Lagos, Aljezur and Vila do Bispo, followed by debate. On this occasion, certificates of Environmental Volunteering Merit for Water 2023 will also be delivered.
The Regional Director of ARH Algarve and representatives of the three municipalities of Terras do Infante will open the event, with the Regional Director of the Administration of the Algarve Hydrographic Region and the person responsible for the Training Center, Dr. Rui Grácio, closing it.
This session will be accredited for all educators and teachers, aiming to involve, in a particular way, teachers from Lagos, Aljezur and Vila do Bispo covered by the Dr. Rui Grácio Training Center, as well as technicians from the respective municipalities and management entities of water services, among other interested parties.
