Located in the true historic center of Silves, nestled between the castle of Al-mutamid and Ibn-amar and the Gothic cathedral, the Café Inglés, commissioned by an illustrious figure in the city, is housed in a notable oriental-inspired building that refers to the end of the 19th century.
Café Inglés is a warehouse of ideas, cultures where people are the main participants, in which music and the arts have always been our focus, in fact, quality events are regularly held, in the most varied musical aspects that range from from jazz, latin jazz, afro latin, jam sessions that include instruments from the five corners of the world, among many others, new creators in painting, sculpture, photography and decorative arts are exposed, poetry evenings are held that were attended by renowned names in Anglo-Saxon literature, Peter Pagnal and Simon Hermitage, where local poets also participated.
Everything happens in an informal and relaxed way in a cross-cultural environment, where the pleasure of eating is combined with entertainment and Portuguese culture.
