Animation, lights and smiles: Lagos gets into the Christmas spirit

Praça do Infante once again becomes the central point of the festive season, with dozens of activities taking place throughout the city between November 30th and January 6th – Christmas Village with market and entertainment for little ones, shows, street entertainment, Nativity scene Entertainment by José Cortes and, of course, the presence of the friendly Santa Claus.

The entertainment at the Praça do Infante Christmas Village begins on the 30th with a dance show by the Academia de Ballet, Dança e Arte Sofia Rodrigues, but also a Christmas train, an ice rink and a sleigh, crafts studio, photospots and other surprises for the whole family. The arrival of the “gentleman with the white beard” is scheduled for 3pm on December 1st. Until December 24th, this iconic venue will also have rolling entertainment, jugglers and face painting on the weekends.

A focal point for the magic of this Christmas is also the Armazém Regimental de Lagos, with two shows on Saturdays and Sundays – “Elves and the Grinch's Secret Plan” and “Tesouro Pirata de Natal”, and also Márcia Gamito, with storytelling sessions of stories “A Sleigh Full of Stories”. The Children's Choir of Grupo Coral de Lagos will perform on December 15th.

Over the weeks, there will be many Christmas initiatives throughout the municipality that count on the precious collaboration of local associations, highlighting the entertainment in some markets in Lagos, shows at the Cultural Center and churches in Lagos, sessions for children and families at the Municipal Library, Natalândia at the Lagos Zoo, among other enchanting events.
