Synopsis
Maçã d’Adão is the new album by composer, author, choreographer and fado singer Jonas. A project that, in times of conflict and intolerance, celebrates all the cultural richness present in the sounds of Fado. In a sonic journey that navigates through Gypsy, Iberian, Moorish and Afro-Brazilian influences, among others, this is a Fado that reaches us in all its worldview, a Fado that draws from its origins and rescues the extinct dance of Fado Batido.

Starting from the first biblical chapter - Genesis - entirely linked to creation, Maçã d’Adão also recovers the mystical dimension of fado, in the sacred and the profane, and embraces an idea of ​​destiny, of the wheel of fortune and of oracles, such as palm reading, cowrie shells or tarot.

Maçã d’Adão is the second album by singer-songwriter Jonas, a unique project that reconstructs, reinterprets, and projects dimensions of Fado that have been lost over time.
