Jonathan Dassin promises to take everyone on a journey through the timeless songs of his father, Joe Dassin.

This show, a tribute to Joe Dassin, recalls the career successes of his father. Through the voice of his son, Jonathan Dassin, the great hits of the famous Franco-American pop and chanson singer will be heard at the Teatro das Figuras.

During the more than one-hour show, the artist invites the audience to remember the most romantic and nostalgic songs that mark the family's history.

World-renowned, Joe Dassin belongs to the heritage of French song, having distinguished himself by coloring it with a touch of American folklore. Several decades after his death, his songs – with which he sold more than 50 million records – are still widely broadcast on radios around the world and are now brought back to the stage by his son, Jonathan Dassin.

The new tribute follows the release of the album “A Toi” in 2020, where, along with other renowned French artists, Jonathan celebrates the musical career of his father, who passed away 40 years ago, interpreting songs such as “Salut”, “Et Si Tu N´existais Pas”, “Champs-Élysées”, “Marie-Jeanne”, “L´été Indien”, “Siffler sur la colline”, among others, which are part of the line-up for this special evening.

Author, composer and performer, Jonathan Dassin reflects on French song from its origins to its adaptations in the present day, making this encounter a true journey through the past, present and future.
