All activities at the Municipal Library are free of charge, but require prior registration up to 48 hours before the event by phone at 282 767 816, the Library's Facebook page, or email biblioteca@cm-lagos.pt. Each initiative requires a minimum number of participants. If this number is not reached, the activity may be cancelled.
This session will focus on the practice of mindfulness through acts of giving and active compassion. Participants will be encouraged to perform acts of kindness and reflect on the positive impact of their actions, promoting empathy and compassion. Participants are invited to research charities they would like to contribute to.
BIOGRAPHY:
Sofia Loureiro holds a degree in Biotechnology, a master's degree in Naturopathy, a doctorate in Environmental Chemistry, and specializes in Highly Sensitive People. The many years dedicated to scientific research, along with training in Natural Therapies, contributed to the rigor essential to the writing of her books: Guide to Natural Remedies for Children (2012), Guide to Natural Remedies for Women (2015), and the Personal Development Diaries (2019 and 2020). Currently, her work focuses on mentoring and health and well-being of Highly Sensitive People (HSP), a personality trait present in 20% of the population.
Free parking - The Lagos Cultural Center and the Lagos Municipal Library offer free parking in the riverside park (Avenida dos Descobrimentos) for the public attending their shows/events. To receive the discount, users simply need to present a stamp obtained at the Lagos Cultural Center box office or the Lagos Municipal Library entrance at the park reception. The offer applies only to one hour before and up to one hour after each show/event.
