"O Juiz da Beira", a farce by Gil Vicente, is a kind of continuation of "O auto de Inês Pereira". In this film, Inês marries Pêro Marques, who turns out to be a boss. In "O Juiz da Beira" we will meet Pêro Marques again, still married to Inês Pereira, but this time as a judge. His hearings are attended by Ana Dias, who accuses Pêro Amaro's son of having raped her daughter; Alonso López, who accuses Ana Dias of being a procurer; and a squire, who accuses Ana Dias of being a thief. Finally, four brothers (Lazy, Dancer, Amador and Brigoso) come to dispute the inheritance that their father left them.
As would be expected, Pêro Marques resolves all these disputes in the most absurd way, but, curiously, all the sentences end up proving to be reasonable.
