In one of those moments in Raúl’s life, drunk with drowsiness, his hand transports us to his own birth and discovery of the world around him. Several obstacles lie ahead of him, until the moment he gives shape to another similar being and his life becomes rosy. However, the unconscious is vulnerable and too sensitive to pursue the romance of some of our most intimate desires and Raúl is brought back into his everyday reality, just like his own hand.
Once upon a time there was a scarecrow who found a turtle. Once upon a time there was a straw house that roamed the oceans. A sea of plastic and a skinny president. A lot of waste and a lumpy cod. On the sand, traces of Humanity. At the bottom of the sea, a community that reinvents itself. Palhinhas, the story of a scarecrow is an adventure through the marine universe that allows us to look at the waste accumulated at the bottom of the sea, uniting its inhabitants in the search for a common benefit.
“1,2,3, 1,2,3” – time is given for another Crescendo concert, at 11:30 am at the Solar da Música Nova Auditorium. The organization, as usual, is by the Loulé Conservatory of Music – Francisco Rosado. Crescendo, on the third Saturday of each month, are opportunities to watch the evolution of young talents at the public music school, so important for the training of young musicians but also for the mental structuring of tomorrow’s citizens.
In the Portuguese parliament, between the deputies’ benches and the tribune with members of the Government, there is, exactly in the middle of the room, a desk with nothing around it where two employees work who have the mission of transcribing everything that is said there. Through his fingers, speeches, interventions, asides, insubordination and even gestures are recorded. There are hundreds of thousands of pages that record debates, constituent assemblies, votes, advances and setbacks in social, labor and human rights. Guide for a possible country is a show created from these records, to tell the story of the last fifty years of our democracy.
These magnificent loving exchanges, of great lyrical and emotional richness, have the particularity of revealing a tormented, fragile, capricious Camus, with sometimes sexist behavior, far from the profound and serious writer we know. Casarès’ letters are a revelation. Witness a devastating sense of humor that mocks its contemporaries with joy and without any restrictions! The disenchanted philosopher and the woman of tragedy, full of love, united by their passion, in the heart of a restless Europe.
How do babies end up in the womb? What is this thread that is attached to the baby? What is your name? Is it for the baby to hold on? And me, how was I born? These and other questions are part of the child’s curiosity. A seed that grows and transforms. A heart that beats. Two arms that embrace the world. Two eyes that open and a song that is heard. It is the string of life, the string that tells your story and ours and that accumulates stories from other lives. This cord has no end.

No Limite da Dor is a play that aims to raise awareness and spark debate about the situations faced by the characters. These are, without a doubt, important data so that we can preserve a collective memory about the inhumane events experienced by the Portuguese people during the Salazar dictatorship.

Ilha dos Sem Terra is a journey that combines past stories and memories with present experiences, where a sense of belonging transcends geographic location and seeks to assert itself elsewhere. A show inspired by the stories of people who were born in one country, acquired the culture of another and are in a constant process of affirming their identity and origin.
A 739.26 km road that connects a country, from North to South, that passes through 11 districts and 35 municipalities, that runs through 11 mountains and crosses 13 rivers, and that serves as the terrain for a trip that is as much a crossing through Portugal in 2024, like a vertical line that goes back 50 years to rescue documents, reports and memories, with the Commemorations of the 50th anniversary of the 25th April Revolution as its artistic vector. At the origin of this partnership between Teatromosca and LAMA Teatro is a skein (narrative) that unfolds from the meeting between the father of Pedro Alves, born in Chaves, and the father of João de Brito, coming from Faro, in those remarkable days 1974 and which turns out to be an elaborate web of 11 mysterious photographs that give rise to 35 letters, which unfold into 13 faxes, which multiply into countless phone calls, which turn into e-mails, which unravel into messages of Whatsapp, until they are finally extended into videos on social media… The aim is, in this way, to bring to the fore stories and memories that have not always been illuminated, voices that are rarely heard and to […]
“Portugal arrived in India… and then? In the second part of the epic “I am Portuguese, Portugal”, we are dazzled by the opulence of the 16th century Portuguese court. XVIII and the bravery shown by the people during the French invasions; we review the political crisis that was triggered by the death of D. João VI and the civil war that followed; we remember the first republican ideals. Since then, several political upheavals have occurred, such as the Estado Novo and the Carnation Revolution. Portugal reached the century. XXI focused on Europe, but rooted in its history and traditions, in fado and… in saudade.”

Tanabata is a very special festival in Japan. On this day, people celebrate the conjunction of two stars in the Milky Way. Many years ago, the Yokohama couple met at a Tanabata and were convinced that their union was planned by the stars. That’s how they decided to make a list of the wishes they would fulfill during their lifetime. Today, many years later, the Yokohama couple have fulfilled all their wishes on that list. All but one. One that they always left behind. But this year, it has to be, the Yokohama couple can no longer put it off and have to fulfill the last wish on their list.
Event that makes it possible to boost the municipality at a gastronomic level and value local products: sausages, medronho, honey, local sweets and handicrafts.”Let’s go to the village” aims to be a moment of celebration of local traditions. A tribute to what has gone and what is intended to be maintained as a tradition. An event with veracity and essence, which will invite everyone to participate in sharing the knowledge and flavors of Monchique. What came before us (our past and our traditions) deserves attention. That’s exactly what we’re going to give them with this event that wants to be as complete as possible: gastronomy, crafts, but also music, art, popular culture, among others.
The usual host, João Alves, is joined by Marcelo Soares, a comedian from the Algarve, and Pedro Sousa, one of the most recognized stand-up comedians in the country. After 2 sold out tours with the group “Roda Bota Fora” and having toured the country with Luís Franco-Bastos, Pedro Sousa is at his prime and presents a level that is uncommon in this art form in Portugal. Certainly one of the best comedians on stage, Pedro Sousa promises to leave no one indifferent to his energy.

SYNOPSIS Murilo Couto has been a Brazilian stand-up comedy personality since “everything was bush”. His style of humor is original, verbose, irreverent and sometimes insane. There is his “Murilo Coach” version, which does not aim to teach anything and only makes people laugh. After all, he is from that generation of comedians where grace matters much more than entertainment. You can find Murilo on SBT on the program “The Noite with Danilo Gentili”, on the cinema screen with “Exterminadores do Além” and even at some rap show, because “Emicouto” is a legend. But it is on the theater stage that Murilo Couto delivers his best performance and the definitions of comedy begin to be updated. His solos “Eu, Eu Murilo”, “Fazendo Suas Graça”, “2020”, “2021”, “Idiota” and “Gala Seca” have already drawn thousands of people to theaters in Brazil (and even went on an international tour, after all your humor is truly without borders). Now in 2023, after having his shows recorded for streaming on Netflix, Globoplay, Star+ and Amazon Prime, Murilo arrives at the theater with his new and audacious solo, “Ideias Soltas”, to once again raise the level of humor (or perhaps bring it down ). The fact […]
